Tian Liu
Tian Liu is an acclaimed Chinese cinematographer and photographer. With a passion for visual arts starting at an early age, Tian has worked with film and photography for the past 17 years.
Her portfolio includes numerous film projects, both short- and long-form, as well as still photography published in international trades such as China Daily and Vogue Italy among others. Tian’s latest film, “The Best Date Ever,” directed by Cherry Cao and produced by the New York Film Academy, will be featured at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. Her areas of expertise include narrative film, fashion films, reality TV, and documentaries. She has served as cinematographer on over 40 film projects, several which were captured on 16 / 35mm film. This unique expertise places her among a small group of female cinematographers of her generation versed in both digital capture and physical film stock.
